Kipinä is a company where people do well

When talking about working life, there is a lot of talk about the meaning of work, values and managing people. But in how many places is it just words in a strategy? Talking to some of Kipinä's associates about their values and Kipinä's culture, I found that at Kipinä, people genuinely feel good and subscribe to the company's values.

"My own values and desire for meaningful work coincided with Kipinä already during the interviews. Now, after a few months, I can say that I have truly found a place with like-minded people, and whose values are not just strategic nonsense." - Juha Inkinen

Kari and Olli's idea of Kipinä culture is a kind of campfire circle, where everyone has a role to play and everyone's contribution is important. The campfire circle reflects the fact that everyone is listened to and encouraged to share their ideas.

"These are very special times in our working lives. The culture of Kipinä is emerging in an era where telecommuting is the norm and there are no rigid structures in the company. But in the midst of this, there is a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. We all have a clear vision of how things should be done, and everyone has the courage to speak their mind, because it has been clear from the start that everyone at Kipinä is equal." - Tony Repo

Kipinä wants to be a fair, open, equal and prosperous company and, of course, a company that delivers results. The experts at Kipinä must have the best environment to create sparks and develop quality solutions for customers' digital projects. The right culture and environment will support this success.

"I feel that a certain humanity in the way things are done and the way people's different life stages are taken into account is really important. These things are also talked about openly. Kipinä is a company that aims to make people feel well. " - Nora Lindahl

Kipinä is a group of skilled and experienced professionals for whom empowerment, shared decision-making, low-level organisation and a good workplace spirit are important. Kipinä supports professionals by creating just the right culture in the company.

"Kipinä's culture is immediate and open. We talk about things directly and without any twists and turns. It's been great to see that all shareholders are on the same page and on an equal footing, and that decisions are made together, listening to and valuing each other." - Juha Inkinen

"There is no need to sugar-coat things in Kipinä. Openness, debate and decision-making are as promised. People are genuinely treated as people. In joint meetings, people are confident and willing to share their ideas with the whole group because the atmosphere is safe." - Nora Lindahl

"The culture of Kipinä is warm and positive. Even though it's all still a new build, it's great to do it together. We also think together about what kind of people fit into the team and the culture." - Tomas Günther

Trust in others and shared goals are built into Kipinä's culture, alongside a prosperous and balanced life. Everyone is committed to doing their best every day.

"It is important to work together. We have people in Kipinä who have a clear vision of how to do the work, and this is brought out in meetings and in daily discussions. In an open culture, everyone has a direct say in decisions, and that's how you see things moving forward." - Tony Repo

Finally, let's return to the campfire circle and the values and things that are associated with it.

Transparency. Fairness. Being part of the team. Transparency. More than a job. Accepting different people and ideas. When you talk to people in Kipinä, these really aren't just strategy talk.

In Kipinä, all shareholders decide together, everything is transparent and open, and people treat each other with respect. These things together create a place where it's safe, fair and fun to work without friction.
