Getting to know the ecosystem at the Ecosystem afterwork

At Kipinä, we believe that community is really important and we see it as one of the keys to people's well-being and success. That's why it was great to get the whole ecosystem on board for a joint after-party and create a sense of community on a wider scale. The first ever "Ecosystem afterworks" was a successful event and will surely continue.

A Friday in October brought together the people of Kipinä and the other companies in the ecosystem, Luodo, Asteroid, NorthCode and Vuolu, to enjoy time together and get to know each other. The evening started with a social discussion about world events. We face the world together as an ecosystem, which is why it is important to talk about things as a community.

Clearly, there was a demand for the event. Although there was a lot of business talk, the atmosphere was relaxed. The enthusiasm for their work and the workplace shone through on everyone's faces and in their speeches. This bodes well for the future and for future joint projects.

It's also important that we know each other and have fun together. Community strengthens us and makes it easier for people to interact on a daily basis. All the people in every company in the ecosystem need more than just hard coding and client work. We want the whole ecosystem to grow stronger, not just the companies individually.

On LinkedIn, Luoto described the importance of community in this way: "In the old days, the ideal of work was to effectively stratify the process and measure the individual. In service, information and professional work, the value of mutual interaction, creativity and learning together was the key. The transformation of the service company is characterised by customer experience, transparency, ownership and community among like-minded people."

It's easy to sign up to this and start planning the next event to learn and interact together.

Afterwards, we got to know each other smoothly across company boundaries.
